Eurobet launches major TV campaign following online overhaul
Gala Coral subsidiary to launch new ad this month to appeal to "new type of customer" as part of big investment in TV advertising
Italian operator Eurobet is to launch its biggest TV advertising campaign to-date this month after recently unveiling a major revamp of its website.
Eurobet’s director of sportsbook Carlo Di Maio told eGaming Review the company was trying to appeal to a “new type of customer” and increase brand awareness across the whole country.
“In the past we have done a limited amount of TV and a few team sponsorship deals but now we are going to invest far more heavily on TV,” Di Maio said.
The Gala Coral subsidiary’s new marketing campaign will be aired on Italy’s major TV channels in mid-September based on a theme of sporting expectations and with a focus on its online and mobile businesses.
“We wanted the website to be ready for the new campaign which we hope will lead to many new customers navigating to our website,” Di Maio said.
The marketing campaign follows an ongoing overhaul of the Eurobet website including a complete redesign and the launch of new features to the sportsbook prior to the World Cup such as more live streaming events and in-play markets.
Earlier this week Eurobet also revamped its Vegas/Luxor and ‘Classic’ skill games products including new titles developed in-house and to ensure a consistent customer experience across the whole site.
“The redesign was done entirely in-house because we have our own development team as well as external freelancers which helped on the design,” Di Maio said.
“We had to consider the additional content that we have and how to make it more presentable, such as ramping up in-play in the sportsbook,” he added.
Eurobet plans to update its Poker and Bingo products in the next two months.
Gala Coral’s recent Q3 results showed Eurobet increased sports and gaming stakes by 39% and 11% respectively year-on-year with its sportsbook holding a 9.9% share of the market.
