Entain unveils new LGBT+ community as part of Pride month efforts
Ladbrokes and Coral operator reaffirms commitment to supporting staff as Flutter, Lottoland and Rank Group all reveal Pride strategies
Entain has unveiled a new LGBT+ community as the London-listed operator ramps up its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). The new community, Pride@Entain, will allow colleagues to connect and collaborate from across Entain’s global offices. The launch of the community comes during this year’s Pride month, which has seen a slew of industry companies reaffirm commitments to supporting their LBGT+ staff and colleagues. Speaking on the launch of Pride@Entain, network ambassador Andy Hicks detailed what the project entails and how the company is ready to lend even more support to staff. Hicks, Entain’s retail MD for UK and Ireland, said: “At Entain, we do what’s right, it’s one of our core values. We believe in creating a culture as a company where everyone feels safe, feels empowered and where everyone can thrive. “We want everyone at Entain to bring their authentic selves to work, being open, being honest and being true to your own personality and values regardless of the pressures that surround us each day. “We believe in creating safe spaces where your voices can be heard. Against that backdrop, I’m excited to announce the launch of Pride@Entain, our second global network to help our LGBTQIA+ colleagues connect, collaborate and empower one another wherever you are,” he added. Elsewhere, Flutter Entertainment-owned Sky Betting & Gaming has also moved to support staff during Pride month. The Leeds-based firm has partnered with the LGBT Foundation to publish an Allyship Playbook to improve support for staff and deliver an allyship series of workshops on how to stand up for and support the LGBT+ community. Additionally, Lottoland has been confirmed as a sponsor of the upcoming Gibraltar Pride on 25 June, while Rank Group-owned Grosvenor Casinos was a sponsor for this year’s Blackpool Pride.
