Dutch lottery boosts digital sports betting portfolio with Scientific Games
Nederlandse Loterij expands existing contract with supplier as it gains access to full stack product suite
Scientific Games has bolstered its European footprint after sealing an enhanced sports betting supply deal with the Dutch National Lottery. The Nederlandse Loterij will now be afforded access to the Las Vegas-based supplier’s full digital and online sports betting product suite as it upgrades from its existing sports betting supply agreement. Scientific Games’ sports betting product includes pre-match, in-play and risk management services, as well as offering customisable player experiences. Keith O’Loughlin, Scientific Games SVP of digital sportsbook, said impending regulatory changes had forced the firm’s hand in updating its digital expansion roadmap. O’Loughlin said: “Nederlandse Loterij is a valued customer of ours and we’re delighted that our sports betting technology will sit at the core of their player experiences. “We anticipated the pace of regulatory change across the globe through enhanced software development and hardware deployment at scale and at speed – a strategic decision that has become the foundation for our accelerated digital expansion.” Maurice Meijer, Nederlandse Loterij CTO, said: “Moving onto Scientific Games’ sports betting platform was important to us, as we strive to offer our customers the best experience with Nederlandse Loterij and its brands every day. “We are very content with the smooth go-live process, due to the close cooperation of both our teams. Since enhancing our offering, we’ve received strong customer feedback welcoming the new user interface. Scientific Games are an important partner for us, as we look to grow our customer base,” he concluded.
