Dunder to exit UK market by end of October
Online casino brand confirms phased departure in email to affiliate partners
Dunder will exit the UK market and cease all UK-focused operations on 30 October 2020. The online casino brand revealed the phased exit plan in an email to affiliate partners, with a staggered timeline beginning on 15 October. Under the plan, all advertising is required to end at this date, with marketing material being removed from UK-facing sites, including those being used on pop-ups and tracking links. In tandem, all new player registrations and player deposits will be disabled for UK customers, with Dunder customers restricted to a minimum withdrawal of £3 per transaction. Dunder has said that all withdrawals, gameplay and existing customer logins will be disabled with effect from 30 October. “In light of the above, we ask for your immediate cooperation in removing all advertising and promotional material of Dunder in relation to its UK operations by no later than 15 October 2020,” Dunder stated in the email. “Kindly note that this instruction applies to all marketing efforts with immediate effect, including but not limited to banners, pop-ups, social media adverts, hyperlinks, etc. as per the above communication. “We would like to reiterate that this instruction applies solely to the UK market,” the online casino operator added. Dunder has advised any affiliate with a query to contact their respective account manager. Dunder is owned by Malta-headquartered online casino operator Casumo and launched in March 2016. The Dunder sportsbook operates in the UK via a white-label arrangement with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG). Dunder CEO and former Mr Green COO Thomas Rosander left the firm in April. The brand was replaced by Mansion Group as kit sponsor of EFL Championship side Bristol City in August. Casumo has not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
