Deposit bonuses âmost influentialâ offer on mobile
Study conducted by Commercial Intelligence ranks deposit bonuses and initial free money pots as top two incentives on mobile
Offering players deposit bonuses and initial free money pots are the best ways to attract mobile gamblers, a new study has found has found.
The study, conducted by research firm Commercial Intelligence, surveyed 2,000 mobile gamblers in the UK in July 2013 and found that 35% of those asked considered deposit bonuses to be influential in their decision to download a gambling application.
Twenty per-cent of those regarded deposit bonuses to be the main influence over their choice in mobile app.
Free money pots (34%) and loyalty bonuses (28%) were the second and third most influential incentives, while matched bets and free spins also proved popular.
Cash back against initial losses and “free tournament rolls” were found to be the least attractive incentives for mobile gamblers, with just 14% and 11% of those surveyed considering them to be worthwhile offers.
âUnderstanding playersâ behaviour, their perception towards operators and what influences them to play with one brand versus another is key to shape mobile strategy,â the study said.
As the migration to mobile platforms continue, the fight for customers is strongly expected to intensify with CPAs also forecast to spiral and companies such as Sky Bet, Paddy Power and Ladbrokes have all launched mobile-centric advertising initiatives and offers in order to boost market share.
