Decision on Betnet sale expected today
Administrator to make recommendations on Betnet buyer today after deadline for proposals closed on Monday
France Pari is thought to be leading the race to acquire horse betting site Betnet, with the final decision set to be announced later today.
iGaming France revealed that the interested parties had until close of play on Monday to present their business plans to Jean Rongeot, the administrator in charge of evaluating the offers.
The site was put into administration by the tribunal for commerce in the Compiègne region of France last week.
Betnet currently holds a 1.5% share of the horse racing market, and president Patrick Barbe has been vocal in his criticism of the law, which he has accused of safeguarding PMU’s former horse betting monopoly.
