Danske Spil moves onto Microgaming bingo network
State-owned operator extends its offering outside Denmark with access to more games and bigger jackpots
State-owned Danish operator Danske Spil has shifted its bingo product onto the Microgaming Bingo Network to extend its offering outside the country.
The new system will enable players in other countries to access Danske Spil’s bingo rooms online, as per new regulations enabled by the Danish Gambling Authority’s liberalisation of the bingo market.
A statement by Microgaming said the firm would now be able to benefit from increased player liquidity as well as more games and bigger jackpots.

Head of product at Danske Spil, Søren Schneider, said: “Now bingo has been liberalised in Denmark, it is crucial for us that we have a strong, competitive product.
“We need to ensure further growth and remain a strong market leader.”
Danske Spil’s bingo offering was previously powered by Betware which gave the operator access to Microgaming’s suite of bingo and instant games.
The operator also recently migrated its “numbers game” business onto Scientific Games from its former IGT-based solution.
Speaking to EGR, CIO Karsten Fogh Ho-Lanng said a process was also ongoing to upgrade its player account management system across all verticals.
