Danish Gambling Authority to launch separate remote gambling office
Vacancy opens for new head of division with responsibility for issuing new licences
The Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) has restructured its internal operations and launched a new remote gambling division.
Staff have been split into four new offices dedicated to lottery and monopoly, slot machines and responsible gambling, finance, policy and market analysis and remote gambling.
Each office will be responsible for dialogue, guidance, and issuing licences, and will act as a direct point of contact for operators in Denmark.

Danish Gambling Authority’s new internal structure
The remote gambling division will carry out cross-disciplinary talks with the other departments to monitor operators’ marketing strategies and ensure they are complying with local and European legislation.
Director of the authority Birgitte Sand said: “The idea behind the new organisation is a natural, further streamlining of the Danish Gambling Authority.
“It is intended to create an even better overview and a clearer connection for our collaborators.”
A vacancy for the head of the remote gambling department has been opened and recruitment already started.
