Britain's The Daily Mirror newspaper has launched a scratch card website with online scratch card business NeoGames, Neo's second deal with a major newspaper publisher in as many months.
BRITAIN’S The Daily Mirror newspaper has launched a scratch card website with online scratch card business NeoGames.
The tabloid is published by Trinity Mirror, which also owns national titles the Sunday Mirror and The People plus more than 150 local papers.
Neo will supply the paper with a fully managed solution for the site, Mirrorscratchcards.co.uk, which will offer more than 70 games, with prizes of up to £200,000.
Mirror Group Newspaper digital head of commercial partnerships Jonathan Bury said: “Mirrorscratchcards.co.uk will fit perfectly with our existing portfolio of online entertainment channels.”
The deal is the second major media tie for NeoGames in as many months, after it launched a scratch card site for OK! Magazine in February, giving it access to OK’s nearly 600,000 readers.
The Daily Mirror already has existing egaming ties formed in January with Sportech, for Sportech’s New Football Pools product, and in February 2009 with NetPlay TV to promote NetPlays’ EuroTeleMillions draw service.
Daily Mirror arch-rival The Sun, Britain’s best selling daily, has egaming ties with mobile gambling business Probability and with Gamesys for online casino, bingo and slots.
