Cubeia releases new software for mobile
Firebase 1.8 software includes HTML5 support for mobile applications.
Swedish software company Cubeia is set to release Firebase 1.8, which it claims is the first ever open source multi-player server in egaming.
The new software will offer HTML5 support and allow a game portfolio to be unified on a single platform, regardless of client technology. The same server game can handle Flash, Java and C++ clients and any JavaScript capable device.
Executive vice president Lars J. Nilsson said, “As the market fragments across devices and social channels it’s more important than ever to make sure you have a platform that can support your enterprise. Cubeia Firebase is exactly that: hand-held HTML5 clients that can run side-by-side with downloadable 3D clients. One platform, unlimited scalability.”
The Firebase platform already powers leading skill gaming networks Jadestone DiceArena network and the MahjongLogic network.
