Coral launches “first of its kind” omni-channel slot
Bookie partners with Playtech for new product, while PokerStars plans to integrate Microgaming casino content
Coral has launched a “first of its kind” omni-channel slot game which gives players rewards for playing online, in shops and on mobile.
Tiki Paradise, provided by Playtech, has been rolled out in more than 300 Coral shops this week and will be available in all 1,800 UK shops later this month.
Customers playing the game in-shop get access to extra features if they use Coral’s Connect card, and then get free spins and bonuses if they play online or on mobile in the following 14 days.
“This is a first of its kind and we’re delighted to be announcing it exclusively in partnership with Playtech,” said Mark Kemp, Ladbrokes Coral product director.
“Not only will our Coral Connect customers find Tiki Paradise incredibly engaging and great fun to play, it enables us to develop and launch further integrated omni-channel content that significantly increases the gaming experience for players who play slots in our shops and on mobile.”
Playtech said Tiki Paradise marked the “first-ever omni-channel content launch”.
The provider’s COO Simon Akad added: “The Playtech ONE platform is the first to allow these types of enhanced rewards and free spins features across retail and online domains – delivering a single coherent user experience across retail, online and mobile to ultimately supply our operators with the leading technology in the gaming industry.
“The game is equally beneficial to the licensee as it both increases Coral Connect Omni-channel signs ups and incentivises KYC with less anonymous play and more responsible gaming,” Akad added.
Elsewhere, PokerStars announced this morning it would be integrating Microgaming’s casino content into PokerStars Casino, via the Quickfire platform.
“Microgaming needs no introduction,” said PokerStars COO Guy Templer.
“Their expertise in building industry leading slot games is second to none. PokerStars Casino customers will be able to play the best content that Microgaming’s Quickfire platform has to offer.
“This includes top hit slot games, massive brands and huge jackpot games. We have no doubt that Microgaming’s games will be very well received by our players and they will consolidate our position as the world’s fastest-growing online casino.”
Microgaming games will go live on PokerStarsCasino.com in early summer 2017.
Microgaming’s director of Quickfire, Andrew Clucas, added: “Signing a major industry name like PokerStars is always exciting for the Quickfire team and wider Microgaming business.
“With their offices only a stone throw away from ours, it’s great to be working closely with PokerStars through a content agreement that will bring our range of games to their millions of players across the globe.”
