ComeOn hires NetEnt director as new CPO
Former NetEnt product director Hampus Eriksson joins Cherry subsidiary
Cherry AB subsidiary ComeOn has appointed Hampus Eriksson as its new chief product officer, it was announced today.
Eriksson previously worked as director of product and services at NetEnt, joining the business in April 2018 and previously spent four years at Evoke Gaming.
During his time at Evoke Gaming he served as chief product officer for two years and acting CEO of the business between July and December 2015.
Prior to this, Eriksson spent four years at Redbet, first as head of poker and then as head of acquisition before leaving the business in 2013.
Speaking about his new role, Eriksson said he had followed ComeOn for many years and perceived “great potential and major development opportunities” in new and existing products.
Lahcene Merzoug, CEO of ComeOn, hailed the appointment as proof the business was further strengthening its product focus, which was “fantastic both for us and our customers”.
Eriksson’s appointment is the first major hire made since the multi-million-pound takeover of Cherry by private equity firm Entertainment Intressenter BidCo AB in February.
Swedish analyst Kristoffer Lindstrom said the constituent parts of Cherry, including ComeOn and Yggdrasil could be spun out as their own businesses under the new owners.
