Coin Gaming makes betting play with Sportsbet.io
Bitcoin operator promises fast payments as it expands into sportsbook ahead of Euro 2016
Bitcoin casino operator Coin Gaming is branching out into sports betting with the launch of a new sportsbook ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
Sportsbet.io, which was unveiled yesterday afternoon, has promised to offer more than 350,000 pre-match events per year with a peak of 70,000 events during prime months.
Coin Gaming hasd previously focused purely on casino through its Bitcasino.io brand and the firm said the bitcoin-only sportsbook would appeal to punters due to its fast withdrawal times.
“With Bitcasino.io we are used to being the best and we have high ambitions for Sportsbet.io that will make it the number one bitcoin sports betting destination,” Joe Jordan, Coin Gaming spokesperson, said.
“Bitcasino.io has an average winnings withdrawal time of 2.5 minutes, something that Sportsbet.io plans to replicate. When it can take upwards of 24 hours for some traditional bookmakers to pay out, we believe this will give us real differentiation in the market,” he added.
The firm also said the mobile-first sportsbook would enable players to bet with their own bitcoins, or exchange for local currency on the site, via Sportsbet.io’s broker integration with Cubits and Coinify.
The Curacao-licensed sportsbook will be backed by a Euro 2016 competition, giving customers the chance to win tickets to next month’s final.
