Chris Ash appointed to Gaming Realms board
Ash Gaming founder joins Gaming Realms as a non-executive director to help with pivot from B2C to licensing
Ash Gaming founder and angel investor Chris Ash has joined the Gaming Realms board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Ash is one of the UK’s best-known gaming entrepreneurs, having built casino games provider Ash Gaming before sealing its £23m sale to London-listed Playtech back in 2011.
During his time at Playtech, Ash also ran the content aggregation business alongside 25 partner studios and assisted with the supplier’s M&A strategy.
Ash is now an investor and advisor to a range of software firms, including gambling CRM platform Blue Ribbon – a start-up founded by former Playtech execs Amir Askarov and Dan Fischer.
Michael Buckley, non-executive chairman of Gaming Realms, said: “We are delighted that Chris has agreed to join the company.
“His significant experience in content development and global licensing closely aligns with our strategy to scale our licensing business.
“We welcome him and greatly look forward to working with him,” he added.
Gaming Realms will now focus on its licensing strategy after completing the sale of its B2C real-money gaming business in February this year.
