Checkd Media makes first ever purchase with acquisition of Oddschanger
Firm enters M&A fray with a deal that includes role for Oddschanger founder Will Tyrell
Checkd Media has added to its portfolio with the purchase of sports betting social media affiliate business Oddschanger for an undisclosed sum.
Oddschanger will be added to Checkd’s suite of brands including FootyAccumulators, TeamFA, AccaTracker, HorseTracker, GiveMeOdds, TheTennisTipster and TheWinnersEnclosure, as the Manchester-based firm bids to solidify its claim as the UK’s largest sports betting community.
UK-based business Oddschanger was established in 2013 and has since amassed more than 120,000 social media followers.
Founder Will Tyrell, who will now be employed by CheckD as Head of Oddschanger, said: “I’m really excited to join the team after following the progression of the company for many years. I can’t wait to get involved and do what I can to help the market leaders continue to dominate the industry.”

EGR described in April how Checkd, formerly known as Team FA, were intending to diversify away from social media affiliation in order to enter the M&A arena.
