Camelot launches "revolutionary" online platform
New platform features redesigned National Lottery website and additional mobile products
The UK lottery operator Camelot has released the “revolutionary” new online platform it teased earlier this year, including the launch of an entirely redesigned National Lottery website.
All National Lottery products had been taken down over the weekend to facilitate the migration to the new platform before re-launching last night.
Speaking to eGaming Review, a Camelot spokesperson said the responsive design adopted would improve the display of the website on mobile and tablet devices.
“The new website is just one element of the work we have been carrying out to transform our digital services across all channels and is part of our strategy to give our players what they want “ anytime, anywhere,” the spokesperson added.
A tile-like front end has been rolled-out to make navigation simpler while quick links to the National Lottery’s flagship products and instant win games have been added to the home page.
Tabs at the top of the page filter between playing games and checking results new instant win games have also been added to the operator’s mobile offering for the first time.
In May this year Camelot managing director Andy Duncan said the new online platform, which has been developed entirely in-house, formed part of a new strategy for the operator’s digital channels and would “revolutionise the way players interact with our games”.
Camelot recruited former Ladbrokes head of mobile Claire Barry in July this year as its head of digital strategy and planning to work alongside the firm’s head of digital products and services Rob Beattie as the operator continues to invest in its online development.
