Caliente to enhance online offering with Playtech casino
Partnership to allow companies to take advantage of new opportunities in Latin America.
Mexico’s largest land-based gambling operator Grupo Caliente has signed a deal with Playtech, which will see the company launch the provider’s products on its egaming site.
Under the terms of the agreement Playtech will provide its casino software, including slots and branded games, and its Information Management Solution (IMS) technology platform to the Mexican operator.
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer commented that he was “delighted” to have signed the agreement, which he described as in-keeping with the company’s focus on regulated markets:
“Our work with Caliente is in line with Playtech’s strategy of entering new regulated markets and diversifies the company’s geographic footprint beyond its European and Asian marketplaces. We are very excited about this project and committed to making it a great success,” Weizer explained.
It follows Caliente’s deal with Inspired, announced earlier this week, to supply virtual sports products for land-based, online and mobile devices. The company also signed a commercial agreement with Probability in July last year, allowing Caliente customers to play Probability’s mobile casino games.
The online offering will be compliant with Mexican gambling regulation, and will also be available to players in other parts of Latin America. The companies have announced plans to extend the offering to additional LatAm markets as and when the opportunities arise.
Eduardo Hernández, CEO of Caliente, said the deal left the companies well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities in the region: “Our agreement with Playtech will provide a solid, state of the art casino platform that, combined with our current offering, will deliver the best online gaming experience to our customers. With our combined expertise and commitment to excellence, we will be able to fully expand into Latin American regulated markets.”
