Bulgaria National Lottery chooses Kambi for sportsbook switch
Stockholm-listed supplier replaces BetConstruct as sportsbook provider for 7777.bg
Bulgaria’s national lottery operator has switched its sportsbook provider from BetConstruct to Kambi in an effort to become the “country’s number one sportsbook”.
The new deal, announced Thursday, will see Kambi provide its full sportsbook solution to National Lottery AD’s online 7777 brand.
National Lottery said the switch, scheduled for Q4, would allow it to compete with international tier one sportsbook operators.
7777.bg first launched a sports betting service last year with BetConstruct but said it had “decided to upgrade to help meet growth objectives”.
Kristian Nylén, CEO of Kambi, said: “The 7777.bg brand is at the very heart of gaming in Bulgaria and is widely respected and popular across the numerous verticals in which it operates.”
“We are very excited by 7777.bg’s growth plans to gain the number one position in all its verticals in Bulgaria. With the power of the Kambi Sportsbook and 7777.bg’s impressive customer base, together we will build a sustainable market leading proposition.”
777, which is fully licensed and regulated by Bulgaria’s State Commission on Gambling, has a customer base of more than two million.
Milen Ganev, marketing director of National Lottery AD, added: “We are known to work with only the highest quality providers and Kambi is just that.
“We do this clearly and purely to serve our end customers and to give them the ultimate experiences they deserve. Together, we believe this partnership will support our mission to become the country’s leading provider in sports betting experiences.”
The deal comes in the same week as Kambi’s Q2 results which saw mixed financial numbers for the firm but a major win in the form of a multi-year extension to its partnership with 888.
