Bragg and FansUnite gain gaming-related supplier licenses in Ontario
B2B gaming tech firms to offer sports betting and igaming solutions to Canadian operators
The forthcoming online gaming market in Canada continues to take shape, as Bragg Gaming Group and FansUnite Entertainment Inc. have each been granted gaming-related supplier licenses by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The licenses will allow the B2B gaming tech firms to offer their platforms and solutions to operators of online sports betting and igaming in the Ontario market, which is set to officially launch on April 4.
Bragg, a global gaming technology and content group based in Toronto, will be able to supply operators with its player account management (PAM) platform, igaming content – including its full suite of titles from its in-house studios – and managed services.
Bragg has already gone through the process of ensuring the regulatory compliance of its tech and content, paving the way for it to begin seeking operator partnerships.
“Ontario is where we call home, so we are very excited for the opening of the regulated igaming market here as it offers significant untapped potential for Bragg to showcase our leading content and platform technology,” said Bragg CCO Chris Looney.
“Receiving our supplier license in Ontario will allow us to make consistent progress as we prepare to launch in this exciting marketplace, where we are seeing strong interest from a deep mix of local, US, and international-based operators with both land-based and online backgrounds,” he added.
FansUnite, a global sports and entertainment company headquartered in Vancouver, furnishes its partners with vertically integrated platforms focused on sports betting, esports, and online casino.
The gaming-related supplier license will allow FansUnite to provide its betting solutions to AGCO-approved operators.
“We are pleased to receive approval from the AGCO to operate as a sports betting and igaming solutions supplier within Ontario,” said FansUnite CEO Scott Burton.
“The gaming-related supplier license will enable us to gain an early-mover advantage within the Canadian online gambling industry as a betting solutions provider for new sportsbooks and online casinos looking to enter the market,” he added.
