Bingo.com unveils "innovative" social casino product
Real-money bingo operator makes first push into the social casino market with the launch of Trophy Bingo
Malta-licensed operator Bingo.com has expanded into the social casino market for the first time after launching its new “innovative” social bingo app on mobile.
Free-to-play dog-themed Trophy Bingo is now live on the Google Play Store and features 120 different challenges, power plays, trophies and friend leaderboards.
The app also features a map progression system similar to Candy Crush Saga, as well as different plays to complete levels such as Top 10 Bingos and Double Combos.
“Development will continue on the game in a live environment as we work to tune the monetization and game play before we begin aggressive acquisition,” Jason Williams, Bingo.com CEO, told eGaming Review.
“We have high expectations for the game and our target is one million daily active players,” he added.
The app is currently only available on Android devices but Trophy Bingo is also set to be live on iOS in the near future, while a launch on the Facebook canvas is also in the pipeline.
Williams said that despite social casino now being a big focus for Bingo.com the company’s real-money online gambling operation was still a key part of the business. “We remain focused on both our European gambling business and the social casino market,” Williams said.
“We view Trophy Bingo as a worldwide bingo product which will target North American bingo fans, but the growth of our existing gambling business remains a top priority,” he added.
Bingo.com, which is operated in Europe under contract by Unibet subsidiary Maria Services, first announced plans to expand into social in January after recording a 10% year-on-year rise in 2013 revenues.
