Betway secures new esports director
Incumbent head of esports Adam Savinson steps up amid divisional reshuffle
Betway has promoted its current head of esports to become the operator’s new esports director.
Adam Savinson, who originally joined Betway as a digital marketing specialist in January 2014, has served as the group’s head of esports since November 2016.
The University of Birmingham alumnus began his esports career with Betway in June 2015 when he became the operator’s esports manager.
Savinson’s role and responsibilities will ultimately remain the same, with oversight of the group’s esports sponsorship portfolio which includes the likes of BLAST and MIBR.
EGR Technology understands Savinson’s transition to esports director comes as part of a wider restructuring of the division by Betway.
The restructuring has been implemented to reflect the continued and sustained growth of Betway’s esports division.
The international operator is already on the hunt for a new esports sponsorship account manager who will be based in London and report into Betway esports global brand and sponsorship manager Hannah Warnes.
