Betway highlights integrity focus in new video campaign
Operator partners with Professional Players Federation to demonstrate the relationship between betting and sports
Betway has partnered with the Professional Players Federation (PPF) to develop a new campaign to support betting integrity in sport.
The deal includes a series of short films highlighting the key messages in betting integrity and features numerous player associations, including the WPBSA, PFA, PCA and RPA.
Episodes are directed at players and also outline the issues of match fixing and passing inside information between team members.
A Betway statement said the series also demonstrated the relationship between sports and the betting industry so as to counter corruption and keep British sport clean and highly reputable.
Anthony Werkman CEO of Betway said: “Our support of the Professional Players Federation is an extremely important part of our wider work in the areas of sporting integrity and player education around gambling.
“Our aims dovetail with that of the PPF in that we want a clean, competitive and ultimately fun environment for our customers to test their knowledge against,” Werkman added.
PPF Chairman Brendon Batson OBE said: “Player associations do a great job in educating players about betting integrity and these new films are designed to complement this education by giving bite size information and advice for players.”
