Betway esports director steps away
Adam Savinson to leave online operator after nine years to explore new opportunities
Betway esports director Adam Savinson has left the online operator after almost nine years of service.
Savinson joined the Super Group-owned brand in January 2014 as a digital marketing specialist, before transferring to the esports division in June 2015 as esports manager.
He was quickly promoted to become head of esports in November 2016 and later appointed esports director in February 2021.
Savinson’s transition to esports director came as part of a wider restructuring of the division by Betway.
The restructuring was implemented to reflect the continued and sustained growth of Betway’s esports division.
Savinson has overseen Betway’s continued development in the esports space, with the operator having penned several sponsorship agreements with teams and leagues, including the likes of BLAST and MIBR.
Touching on his decision to leave Betway, Savinson said: “For the last nine years, I have been working tirelessly to develop the Betway esports brand.
“In that time, we have grown from being a small group of enthusiasts to one of the largest commercial partners in the esports industry. Throughout this journey, I have worked with some of the most talented individuals and partners that this market has to offer. I think it’s clear that hard work and passion can create the most amazing results.
“However, the time has come for a new challenge; I’d like to announce that I have made the difficult decision to leave my role as esports director. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the last nine years, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved,” he concluded.
