Betway adds five years to Grand National sponsorship deal
CEO Anthony Werkman says the operator is proud to be a part of one of the biggest occasions in the sporting calendar
Betway has agreed to extend its deal as Aintree’s official betting partner of the Randox Health Grand National Festival for five more years.
The Malta-headquartered bookmaker signed a three-year-deal with the festival back in 2017 and has agreed to extend the deal until at least 2024.
Betway sponsors races including the Betway Bowl, Betway Aintree Hurdle, Betway Top Novices’ Hurdle, Betway Mildmay Novices’ Chase, Betway Mersey Novices’ Hurdle and the Betway Handicap Chase, all of which will are broadcast live on ITV.
Betway has also been the official sponsor of the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival since 2015.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said: “The Randox Health Grand National Festival is a fantastic event and we couldn’t be happier with how the last two years have gone.
“The racing over the three days is of the highest quality and we’re delighted to be continuing our involvement for a further five years.
“With massive crowds on the racecourse and a huge TV audience, the National meeting is one of the biggest occasions in the sporting calendar and one that we are proud to be a part of,” he added.
Betway recruited trainer Ross O’Sullivan and former jockey Kate Walsh as brand ambassadors in December 2018.
