MICROGAMING has licenced gaming service vendor Betware to sell and market the Microgaming suite of casino games to state lotteries.
Betware has provided online solutions for lotteries since 1996, and currently offers a turn-key solution, gaming platform and a portfolio of bingo, racing, skill and casual and multi-player games.
The agreement will allow Betware to supplement its games suite with access to more than 85 Microgaming casino games.
Microgaming chief executive Roger Raatgever said: “Betware’s history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into new territories and markets.”
Betware CEO Stefán Hrafnkelsson said: “This agreement significantly expands our product offering, and provides our customers with a great opportunity to leverage on the success of the Microgaming brand.”
Other software providers focusing on the burgeoning lotteries market include Playtech, which formed the SciPlay joint venture with lottery supplier Scientific Games in January.
