BetVictor launches online TV channel
BetVictor TV to broadcast sporting events, video tips and adverts using Skylab's MediaTank platform
BetVictor has launched BetVictor TV, an online broadcast channel designed to increase the reach of its advertising campaigns.
BetVictor TV has been used to stream coverage of sporting events such as snooker’s 2014 Welsh Open and last month’s Cheltenham Festival, while online video tips, betting advice and BetVictor’s television ads have also aired.
“BV TV is already producing firm results with increased site visits alongside strong social media integration,” Michael Carlton, CEO at BetVictor, said
The operator plans to expand the service in the future by live-streaming additional sporting events and integrating its online betting platform to allow users to watch and bet from the same screen.
“We hope this added advantage in the marketplace will help build our business further and keep us on top of game changing technologies,” Carlton added.
The deal follows other moves by BetVictor to build upon its sports betting offering, including recent contracts with sports data providers OPTA and Timeform.
The MediaTank platform has been provided by UK-based digital agency Skylab, which has previously provided similar platforms to organisations including the Home Office, the BBC and Manchester United.
