BetVictor to launch new apps
BetVictor targets casino sector with new app launches in 2014 and predicts 80% of business will be through mobile by 2015
BetVictor will launch a new ‘simple’ sports betting app by Q1 2014 with mobile casino launches slated for the new year as it looks to grow mobile to 80% of revenues by 2015.
Speaking to eGR Mobile Intelligence, BetVictor’s head of mobile Turlough Lally said the new sports betting app would be the “quickest and easiest way of placing a sports bet”.
“It will be a very simplified, very easy sports betting app,” Lally said of the new product, which will be only the second gambling app from the BetVictor stable following its hugely successful iOS app launched in December 2012.
BetVictor currently has 63% of its players using its sports and casino mobile app with 50.3% of revenues coming through the mobile channel including 40% of casino revenues.
Lally said the firm would also look to launch mobile casino apps in the new year with live casino and slots-focused apps likely to be the first to be released.
“It’s about appealing to an audience that is just interested in playing slots, and to give our consumers who are not interested in sports the opportunity to play with us,” Lally said.
He added he expected the new apps to help boost mobile revenues at the firm with a prediction of 80% of revenues coming through mobile by the end of 2015.
