BetVictor re-launches darts betting app
Bookmaker updates app to coincide with this yearâs World Matchplay with host of new âsecond screenâ features
BetVictor has re-launched its BetVictor Darts betting app to coincide with this yearâs World Matchplay darts tournament, which the bookmaker sponsors with a range of second screen features.
The app has been redesigned for iOS7 and has been updated to include a new data visualisation page which shows users precisely where on the dart board players are hitting.
The live screen displays a dart board which is update in real-time, while a stats page is also updated live so that bettors can add keep up with three-dart averages and check-out percentages from each player.
BetVictor has partnered with Sportradar for its live darts info, while player profiles and match previews are provided by sports data firm Abelson Info.
Customers can bet in-play from within the app, however a betslip button takes them to the main sports betting app for other markets.
Speaking to eGR Mobile Intelligence this morning Turlough Lally, head of mobile at BetVictor, said that the re-launch was aimed at building on the popularity of the app last year.
âLast year the app was very popular during all the big tournament as itâs the perfect way to keep up to date with all the latest results, player profiles, dart-by-dart live action and of course all the latest odds on every game,â Lally added.
The app is the sixth in BetVictorâs mobile portfolio after the releases of Instabet and Spincast earlier this year.
