BetVictor inks safer gambling partnership with TransUnion
Gibraltar-based bookmaker to implement affordability solution across customer portfolio
BetVictor has signed a customer interaction and affordability software agreement with international fraud and data analytics firm TransUnion.
As part of the agreement, BetVictor will implement TransUnion’s affordability platform across its existing and new customer portfolio.
The affordability platform aims to provide a holistic and accurate view of customer affordability levels by providing financial data and socio-demographic data on players. It also provides a full audit trail of customer affordability in compliance with current industry regulations.
BetVictor chief legal and compliance officer Rob Smith said the firm had looked at several providers over the past six months, with TransUnion allowing the business to make customer assessments at scale.
“We are serious about keeping the customer safer and integrating TransUnion’s tool is a further data source that can help us understand our customers and build a more accurate customer profile, especially when it comes to a customer’s affordability,” Smith said.
BetVictor, which is headquartered in Gibraltar, has technology hubs in Budapest and London, with over 500 employees spread across its offices.
