Better Collective appoints former Ekstra Bladet journalist as head of group branding and media division
Media executive Pernille Holbøll joins Copenhagen-based affiliate firm after leaving role as editor-in-chief at Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet
Danish online gambling affiliate Better Collective has announced the hiring of former Ekstra Bladet senior editor-in-chief, Pernille Holbøll, to head its group branding and media division.
Holbøll has plenty of experience in media having worked across a number of journalistic positions in Denmark. She started at Danish broadcasting corporation Danmarks Radio before taking a position as managing editor at TV2.dk. She then served as head of news for MetroXpress.
She joined tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet in 2017 as head of digital before becoming editor-in-chief in December 2019.
She will start her position in March 2022 following a period of maternity leave.
Upon her appointment, Holbøll said: “The story of Better Collective is simply impressive. It is a very ambitious Danish-listed company with a global presence.”
“It is a deliberate change for me, so it is with great humility that I now have to test my skills in a new industry where my experience with management, digitisation and media must be used to build on the company’s ambition to make igaming entertaining, transparent and fair.”
Better Collective is a Copenhagen-based affiliate marketing company and recently reported significant growth (148% YoY) in its Q3 2021 announcement.
