BetStars debuts "game-changing" Spin & Bet feature
PokerStars says feature will help distinguish its new sportsbook brand from its rivals
PokerStars has rolled out a “game-changing” product for its new BetStars sportsbook brand as it looks to distinguish itself from the UK market’s power players.
The poker giant said Spin & Bet, inspired by its popular Spin & Go poker game, was a unique product that gives punters the chance to multiply their odds and potential winnings by up to 10 times.
Guy Templer, director of group business development and strategy at BetStars’ parent company Amaya, said Spin & Bet was “the game-changing innovation in sports betting this year”.
“We’re convinced our customers will love the new product as it brings a new and exciting dimension to betting for sports fans around the world.
“This is only the first in a number of exciting, unique products that we expect to introduce in 2016 that distinguish the BetStars brand from its competitors,” he added.
Customers simply chose their bet from the available markets, enter their stake, then click Bet & Spin. The bet will be placed and an animation will display the potentially enhanced odds and winnings.
The result will be one of five multiples: 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 5x or 10x. When playing Spin & Bet, 10% of the bettor’s stake goes towards an enhanced odds jackpot.
For example, a ?10 bet at 2/1 would become a ?9 Spin & Bet with the chance for odds to increase to as much as 20/1 with a potential pay out of ?189.
Spin & Bet will be the focus of a multi-million pound “Gamechanger” marketing campaign that will launch in the coming weeks and include a significant presence around English Premier League matches.
Last week eGaming Review reported that Amaya had awarded the ?10m BetStars account to London-based creative agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky.
