Betsson hires Mr Green's head of casino
Andy Braithwaite appointed the operator's new group director for games of chance
Mr Green’s head of casino Andy Braithwaite has re-joined Betsson as the operator’s new group director for games of chance, eGaming Review has learned.
Braithwaite, who started his new role last month, has joined Betsson for a second time following a previous stint as the operator’s head of content between 2008 and 2010.
He also previously spent four years at Redbet, initially as head of casino and marketing and latterly as its chief commercial officer, before joining Mr Green as head of casino in December 2013.
Betsson chief executive Ulrik Bengtsson confirmed to EGR the appointment of Braithwaite and said he was confident he would be a “great asset” for the group.
The operator has seen a number of staff changes since former CEO Magnus Silfverberg left the firm in July, including the hire of Richard Smith as head of mobile and the departure of Betsson Denmark managing director Peter Weinreich.
Braithwaite’s appointment comes after Betsson recently reported revenues for the 12 months to 31 December 2015 were SEK3,722m (?305m), up 23% on the SEK3,035m (?248.7m) reported in 2014, while net income also rose 7.9% to SEK831.7m (?68.1m).
