Betsafe expands UK presence with new TV deals
Betsson brand's "honest" advertising campaign to be shown on Sky Sports, ITV and BT Sport
Betsson’s Betsafe brand is pushing ahead with its UK growth strategy after securing new TV deals to air its “honest” advertising campaign shown across Sky Sports, ITV and BT Sport.
The 30-second ad, produced by advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky, will run across Sky Sports 1,2,3 and Sky Sports News HQ until August 2017.
The Betsson brand will also be running adverts across ITV2, ITV4, BT Sport, Comedy Central and Fox channels to promote its casino business.
The deals follow the appointment of marketing consultancy Rocket to manage the firm’s media planning and buying with its “honest” advertising campaign.
“We’re really excited about our new TV activity in the UK and continuing to grow our strong portfolio of sports sponsorships and TV associations â adding to our status as the official betting partner of Manchester City FC and sponsor of Primetime on Dave,” Neill Simpson, brand manager at Betsafe UK, said.
“As we continue to grow in the UK, we’re always looking for new opportunities and partnerships â and will be announcing more later this year.”
The latest deal follows a series of efforts by Betsson to increase Betsafe’s presence in the UK market.
Betsson CEO Ulrik Bengtsson told EGR earlier this year its UK market operations were “clearly a contributing factor” to the firm posting a slide in profits during Q2 after an “aggressive” bonusing strategy.
