Betgenius and Racing UK deal targets emerging markets
Partnership allows the streaming of horseracing pictures and data in the likes of South America and Africa
Betgenius has been granted the rights to distribute pictures and data from Racing UK to new and emerging territories in Europe, South America, Asia and Africa.
In addition to providing the capacity for live-picture streaming, Betgenius will also offer end-to-end, automated horseracing trading solutions for its sportsbook clients in these regions.
Although the pictures have sometimes been available in these markets, presenting horseracing as a betting product has not always been possible, Betgenius CEO Mark Locke said.
“Many international markets have been unable to exploit the true value of UK horseracing as a product,” said Locke. “The local expertise and technology to trade these events has sometimes been lacking.”
The content provided by Betgenius will cover some of the UK’s most notable race events, including those from Ascot, Cheltenham, Epsom, and Goodwood.
“We’re very much looking forward to working with the provider in showcasing the best of British racing to as wide a global audience as possible,” said Richard FitzGerald, CEO of Racecourse Media Group, the parent company of Racing UK.
