Betfred nets Bolton Wanderers shirt sponsorship deal
UK bookmaker to sponsor the newly-promoted Championship football club for the next two seasons
Betfred has become the new official shirt sponsor of Bolton Wanderers as part of a two-year agreement with the recently-promoted Championship football club.
The deal will see the UK bookmaker’s logo emblazon the front of the Trotters’ shirts during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, in addition to obtaining other branding opportunities at the Macron Stadium.
Betfred founder Fred Done said he was “delighted” to renew the bookmaker’s partnership with the North West-based team having previously been its official betting partner.
“Betfred enjoyed a great relationship with Bolton whilst operating as the Club’s official betting partner a few years ago and it’s great to be back at Macron Stadium but this time as title sponsors,” he said.
Done added: “I have been looking to get more involved in football and, following their return to the Championship, I sense that Bolton are on the verge of exciting times again.
“Bolton have shown a real willingness to work with us and I have been impressed at the way that this deal has been completed.”
The deal adds to a string of sporting sponsorship agreements signed by Betfred in recent years, including a three-year deal to become the new title sponsor of rugby league’s Super League competition.
