BETTORLOGIC, THE FORM analysis business backed by Betfair co-founder Andrew Black and former Sportingbet chief executive Nigel Payne, has hired Betfair’s Steve High as chief technology officer.
High joins Bettorlogic after seven years at Betfair, where he was senior product manager, leading development projects for the ‘Betfair Multiples’, ‘Betfair SP’ (Starting Price) and Betfair API (application programming interface) products.
He will head up Bettorlogic’s development team, initially focusing on planned additions to Bettorlogic’s current Form Lab bet stimulation and Trader Lab ranges.
Bettorlogic chief executive Mike Falconer said: “The word ‘genius’ is bandied around a bit too much these days, but in Steve’s case it really isn’t an over-claim. He’s designed and developed some of the most groundbreaking betting products ever seen and his enthusiasm to build more is inspiring. This is a major coup for Bettorlogic.”
High joined Betfair in August 2002. Prior to that he worked as product manager for historical equity and other data at Reuters from April 1999 till November 2001, and has held roles including ten years at software business Datastream, five years at economic-forecasting business WEFA and four and half years at oil business software consultancy High & Watt.
