Betfair relaunches virtual sports product
Operator teams up with Inspired Gaming to launch seven virtual sports including football and tennis
Betfair has relaunched its virtual sports product after agreeing a deal to supply seven of Inspired Gaming’s mobile and desktop games.
The new virtual sports portfolio went live at the start of the year and replaced Betfair’s previous virtual offer which had been supplied by Playtech since 2014.
The package includes seven of Inspired’s virtual sports including Rush Football, Rush Horses, Rush Greyhounds, and Rush Tennis, all of which will be streamed 24 hours a day.
In total, Betfair’s UK and international customers will have access to 3,360 virtual sports events every day, with each event available on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
“Virtual Sports have become a proven and increasingly popular category of sports betting, so we are thrilled that Betfair has now got in on the action too,” Steve Rogers, Inspired CCO of digital games, said.
Betfair’s switch to Inspired comes as Playtech overhauls its virtual sports content in order to provide customers with round the clock betting options.
Last summer the supplier took out a three-week tenancy at Warner Bros. Studios in London for a motion capture process which saw sports professionals surrounded by upwards of ?5m worth of hi-tech cameras.
