Betfair lets customers deposit via Paddy Power shops
Exchange operator dips its toe in omni-channel waters through new initiative with PPB stablemate
Betfair has taken its first steps into omni-channel by allowing its customers to deposit into their accounts via Paddy Power shops.
The exchange operator emailed customers this week telling them of the change, explaining: “We know that many of our customers would like to be able to deposit cash directly into their Betfair accounts, so we’ve teamed up with Paddy Power to allow you to do just that.
“You can now deposit cash into your Betfair account at ANY Paddy Power shop in the UK.”
“There’s no need for you to open a new account or do anything differently – just pop into any Paddy Power shop if you’d like to make a cash deposit. Otherwise, you can continue to deposit online whenever you want.”

Customers will need an ID and their Betfair account number to make a transaction.
However, the firm doesn’t mention the feature stems from the Paddy Power Betfair merger, but instead says it has “teamed up” with Paddy Power.
Paddy Power also offers a PP Cash Card, which allows customers to spend their account balances directly, or withdraw from cash machines.
