Betdaq expands Jockey Club sponsorship deal
Exchange operator adds fixtures and prizes for second year of agreement.
Betting exchange operator Betdaq has expanded its sponsorship deal with Jockey Club Racecourses in the UK.
The company will have advertising banners on show at half of the group’s 14 venues, including Carlisle, Exeter and Wincanton, while its sponsorship of Wednesday evening races at Kempton Park will continue until 19 December.
Also included are deals to sponsor horse racing series at Aintree and Haydock Park later this year, as well as a £5,000 prize money contribution for the stable staff of the most successful trainer across the “Wednesday Winner Series” at Kempton Park.
The Jockey Club is currently also in the midst of a five-year sponsorship deal with Stan James which sees the Gibraltar-based bookmaker sponsor the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Shane McLaughlin, Betdaq marketing director, said of the expanded deal: “The racecourses and facilities under The Jockey Club banner are the perfect arena for us to present our brand and we are delighted to be able to continue to support British horse racing through this deal.”
Betdaq opened discussions with Ladbrokes last month over a potential supplier deal, although these remain in an early phase.
