Bet Smart Media to power William Hill US site
Operator received Nevada Gaming licence last month " Canadian partner expected to help streamline mobile registration process.
Canadian technology company Bet Smart Media has been chosen by William Hill US to run the newly licensed operator’s American-facing website.
Bet Smart, which also develops mobile apps and is set to announce more gambling-related deals in the near future, bringing together Hills’ US businesses American Wagering, Cal Neva and Brandywine “ the acquisitions of which were completed this year.
The website launch, which also features live score content from Bet Smart, is the first step in Hills’ plans to “Consolidate the (acquisitions) to make them a financially viable business,” James Henderson, director of retail operations told the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) last month.
William Hill US was awarded a gaming licence for its land-based activities by the NGC last month, allowing the subsidiary of the London-listed operator to complete its American-facing acquisitions.
Earlier this week it confirmed the appointment of Nick Bogdanovich as its director of bookmaking, with CEO Joe Asher saying: “We have built the best bookmaking team ever assembled in Nevada.”
While the operator is yet to receive an online licence, William Hill US marketing director Dan Shapiro said the Bet Smart partnership “Will help drive visitation to our race and sports books and streamline the mobile registration process.
“This site gives us “ by far “ most dynamic web presence of any U.S. sports book operator,” added Shapiro, who described Bet Smart Media as a “first-class partner.”
