Bally Technologies CEO elected AGA chairman
Richard Haddrill elected to replaces Boyd Gaming CEO for a two-year term as chair of American Gaming Association.
Bally Technologies CEO Richard Haddrill has been announced as the new chairman of the American Gaming Association (AGA), replacing Keith Smith, president and CEO of Boyd Gaming, in the role.
Haddrill, who served as vice-chairman for the past two years, will serve a two-year term as president after being elected to the position at the AGA’s annual meeting in December. MGM Resorts International president and CEO James J. Murren will replace Haddrill as vice-chair.
Commenting on the appointment, AGA president and CEO Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. said: “Keith’s leadership during the past two years has been a true asset to the AGA, and we are grateful for the effort he has put into moving the entire industry forward. I am extremely confident that Dick and Jim will provide the AGA with the guidance and insight to best serve all of our members and help our industry take advantage of the new opportunities that will avail themselves in the coming year.”
The AGA has also appointed Adam Rosenberg as an at-large director. Rosenberg, managing director and global head of the gaming group at Goldman Sachs, has been elected for a one-year term, replacing Robert Heller, UBS’s managing director and head of gaming and leisure for the Americas.
