NYX Gaming bolsters management team with Tombola hire
Leon Thomas joins gaming supplier as managing director of US Operations, with former Amaya SVP of online Don Jaques also named as new SVP of corporate development
Former Tombola managing director Leon Thomas has joined the NYX Gaming Group following a brief stint at Caesars Interactive, eGaming Review has learned.
Thomas joined Caesars as vice president and general manager of online gaming in November last year, but left the role after six months.
He joins NYX in the newly created role of MD of US operations, and will lead the supplier’s New Jersey-based team as it looks to grow its footprint in the North American market.
NYX Gaming said Thomas would be working closely with its global executive team and would report directly to group COO Hamish Brown.
“Leon is a proven operations leader in strategic and emerging markets and has fostered strong industry connections with clients and a broad range of stakeholders,” John Stevens, NYX Gaming chief people and culture officer, told eGR.
NYX Gaming also announced former Amaya Gaming SVP of online Don Jaques had joined the supplier as SVP of corporate development, following its acquisition of Chartwell and Cryptologic from Amaya earlier this year.
NYX said Jaques would be “instrumental” in overseeing the successful integration of the acquired businesses into its operations across Europe and North America.
