888's Dragonfish launches Bingo Hollywood network

888 BUSINESS-to-business (B2B) arm Dragonfish has launched a new standalone bingo network, BingoHollywood.com, which combines bingo with Hollywood gossip.

Dragonfish will provide Bingo Hollywood with a managed bingo solution including software, marketing services and a suite of Quickplay instant format games including slots, blackjack, virtual sport and scratch cards.

The launch will be supported with a UK TV advertising campaign beginning on 4 May and promotions including a sign up bonus.

Bingo Hollywood chief executive Derek Morran said: “We knew we had to do something very different, so we created a brand combining Hollywood glamour, celebrity gossip and bingo entertainment. We expect to make a very big splash in the UK bingo market.”

The contract is the third deal in the bingo space for 888’s B2B arm this month, after Dragonfish’s deal to supply Prime Gaming with a bingo solution and Cashcade’s two-year extension to its bingo contract with Dragonfish despite Cashcade having been bought by 888 rival PartyGaming in July 2009.

Dragonfish managing director Gabi Campos said: “The online bingo market in the UK is continuing to grow, and there remain opportunities for exciting brands to obtain significant market share. The combination of the Bingo Hollywood brand and Dragonfish’s bingo solution provides a platform from which to build a prominent new player.”

Other entrants to the burgeoning bingo market recently include Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment (HIE), which is supplied by Dragonfish for casino and poker but launched sub-brand Caesars Bingo Online with Gamesys in March.

In other Harrah’s-Dragonfish news, this month Harrah’s revealed it is seeking suitability approval from Nevada gaming regulators for Dragonfish under the US state’s Foreign Gaming Act.
