888’s business-to-business division Dragonfish has signed an agreement with media company Loper Gate to launch online poker and casino in the Balkans.
The sites will launch under the play848.com, casino848.com and poker848.com brands.
Dragonfish will provide the software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, while Cyprus-based Loper Gate Ltd will be responsible for the marketing of the brands, starting with a 1.5m multi-channel campaign, including broadcast and online.
Loper Gate already has strategic partnerships in place with major advertising agencies and media houses in Greece, Cyprus and Serbia.
Dragonfish said the combination of this local market expertise with Dragonfish’s software, range of games and CRM would provide a strong platform to enter the growing Balkan market.
Gabi Campos, Dragonfish’s managing director, said: “We are delighted that Loper Gate has chosen Dragonfish as it illustrates not only our software expertise but our ability to tailor the product to local markets and deliver a quick turnaround.”
