888 plots new casino ad campaign
Operator looking to appoint agency to launch an advertising campaign for its 888casino brand
888 has kicked-off a search to find an advertising agency to assist it with devising a new campaign for its 888casino brand.
According to a report by Campaign, 888 has written and issued a brief to a number of agencies with the operator due to invite the best three applicants to a pitch stage early next month.
888 is said to be looking for an agency to launch a “high-visibility activation campaign” which is to target audiences in the UK and potentially the US across TV, print and outdoor.
Speaking to eGaming Review, 888 casino acquisition and conversion manager Maayan Kotler confirmed the operator had started the tender process but refused to comment on any of the specifics elements.
The push comes on the back of an encouraging Q4 performance for 888’s casino vertical, with B2C revenues having climbed by 15% year-on-year to $51m across the three-month period. The operator is due to publish its full-year results on 25 March.
In addition, recent figures released by the New Jersey regulator showed that online casino revenues for 888-powered Caesars Interactive surpassed that of the casino’s internet poker for the first time in February, underlining the potential for the vertical in the US.
Last month it emerged that 888 global PR and offline marketing director Jennifer Von Strohe was to leave the operator after five-and-a-half years at the company.
