1XBET inks global partnership with FC Barcelona
Sports betting operator to sponsor Catalan giants until 2024
Russian sports betting operator 1XBET has announced the signing of a five-season sponsorship deal with Spanish La Liga giants FC Barcelona.
Under the agreement, which came into effect on 1 July, the operator and club will work to create several different promotional campaigns, which will feature current FC Barcelona players.
1XBET currently operates in several markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America. It has sponsorship deals with Tottenham Hotspur FC, Cardiff City and was named international Presenting Partner of Italy’s Serie A from 2018 to 2021.

FC Barcelona said the agreement with 1XBET forms part of the club’s global expansion strategy as it looks to “source the best possible partners in different categories” including sports sponsorships and marketing.
Alex Sommers, 1XBET spokesman said the operator was pleased to have reached an agreement with one of the world biggest football clubs.
“We are certain that 1XBET has something to offer to all FC Barcelona fans. We expect that the cooperation of two world-class brands will be lucrative for both parties,” Sommers added.
Josep Pont, FC Barcelona board member and head of its commercial operations, said the club was convinced this deal would help it to grow “both on and off the field”.
“This deal consolidates our global expansion strategy and we are sure that it will help us to connect with new sports fans all around the world,” Pont added.
