Quickspin makes gamification push with new Achievements Engine
Playtech-owned slots developer aims to boost customer engagement and value with its new in-game tool
Slots developer Quickspin has announced the launch of its new Achievements Engine, the Playtech-owned firm’s latest gamification tool designed to increase customer engagement and value.
The Achievements Engine utilises six unique game events that take place in all Quickspin slots and offers players tokens for achievements completed over four levels.
Customers can use the tokens to trigger the game’s bonus feature, such as free spins and re-spins, and track their progress throughout the game.
“Gamification is a hot topic right now, and here at Quickspin we believe we have delivered a perfect version of it with our Achievements Engine,” Quickspin CEO Daniel Lindberg, said.
ITV broadcasts Inspired’s virtual Grand National
ITV broadcasted Inspired Gaming’s virtual Grand National last Friday, prior to the running of the iconic National Hunt race at the weekend.
The Virtual Grand National 2017 TV show, which features the 40 declared runners and riders from the field, aired on ITV4 at 8pm on Friday and was repeated at 11.30am after The Opening Show on Saturday morning.
Highlights also featured on ITV’s first ever coverage of the Grand National.

Genius Sports strikes esports integrity deal with FACEIT
Genius Sports has forged a partnership with FACEIT to provide the esports platform’s league with a range of bet monitoring and integrity services.
The deal will include the integration of the supplier’s new real-time CS:GO analytics platform with the Esports Championship Series (ECS) in time for the start of Season 3 on 14 April.
FACEIT’s ECS league will also benefit from Genius Sports’ eSports Bet Monitoring System, which monitors betting markets in real-time and will alert ECS to any unusual market patterns.
GVC boosts bwin casino portfolio with NYX deal
GVC has extended its partnership with NYX Gaming Group to supply its bwin brand with more than 1,000 new casino games via the supplier’s game aggregation server.
The deal will see bwin integrate the NYX OGS game aggregation platform, providing the GVC brand with access to titles from NYX’s NextGen Gaming studio and over 40 other third-party studios.
NYX’s OPS platform has been used by a number of GVC’s B2C brands, including Sportingbet, since 2014.
Tabcorp signs digital commission deal with NSW hotels
Tabcorp has agreed a five-year deal with the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) to enable its New South Wales (NSW) venues to receive commission on in-venue mobile bets for the first time.
The agreement will see the Sydney-listed gambling giant provide the AHA’s 1,116 NSW hotels with the same commission on bets placed using the TAB app as over-the-counter in cash.
The digital model has been operating since November last year and also enables pubTABs to benefit from ongoing commissions from any customers they sign up to a TAB account.
188BET calls on EveryMatrix for gaming content boost
188BET has given its UK-facing casino library a significant boost after striking a deal to integrate EveryMatrix’s CasinoEngine solution into its proprietary platform.
The deal will give 188BET.co.uk customers access to hundreds of games from the likes of NYX Gaming, Play’n GO and Evolution Gaming, as the operator looks to increase cross-sell opportunities from its flagship sportsbook product.

William Hill unveils Flat season follow-up to High Five offer
William Hill has launched its latest horseracing promotion to coincide with the new Flat season, offering punters a 15% free bet bonus on a winning bet if the horse wins by two lengths or more.
The operator’s 2 Clear offer, which launched this week across all channels, mirrors its National Hunt High Five concession which offered a 25% bonus on winning bets if the horse won by five lengths or more.
William Hill spokesperson, Rupert Adams, said: “It is a simple concept that if you back a horse that wins by two lengths or more you receive a 15% free bet bonus.
