12BET re-enters UK sports betting market
Isle of Man-based firm launches a new sportsbook eight months after exiting the market in response to the PoC licensing regime
12BET has re-entered the UK sports betting market with a new European-focused sportsbook, eight months after the new Point of Consumption (PoC) regime prompted the firm to withdraw from the market.
The Isle of Man-based company relaunched the TGP Europe-powered sportsbook for the UK and European markets last week offering 6,000 live football events every month and an average of 60 markets per event.
Last year 12BET was one of a handful of operators to close parts of their UK-facing businesses ahead of the UK’s overhauled licensing regime and on 30 September stopped accepting all sports wagers from UK-based customers.
Chief executive Rory Anderson said he was excited 12BET was now relaunching its sportsbook after the firm recently added a UK sports betting licence to its existing casino licence.
“The new book retains all the features our existing punters enjoy; fast payout, great odds and a ton of in-play football betting opportunities,” he said.
“Our new affiliate programme will be provided by Income Access, and players who are tagged to affiliates, will still retain those tags on the new platform,” Anderson added.
The sportsbook product is powered by TGP Europe (The Gaming Platform) which has also similar deals in place with operators including BetVision and Fun88.
