12BET increases Premier League visibility with Arsenal deal
Operator's branding to appear at Emirates Stadium as firm looks to capitalise on Gunners' growing Asian fanbase
12BET has signed an agreement with Arsenal to become the Premier League club’s official betting partner in Asia, meaning the club now has visibility across the sides which finished first and second last season following its recent deal with champions Leicester City.
The long-term deal, which was announced this morning, will see the operator’s branding appear at the Gunners’ Emirates Stadium during domestic fixtures via the club’s LED advertising perimeter.
The firm will also have access to first-team players to create content as well as other promotional opportunities.
12BET Europe CEO Rory Anderson said the company was “very excited” to work with Arsenal as it looked to capitalise on the club’s growing popularity in the region.
“A third of the club’s broadcast audience is based in Asia, and over the last two seasons Arsenal were featured in the most watched live Premier League matches which highlights the strength of their Asian presence,” Anderson said.
“The viewing figures for matches at Emirates Stadium are second to none, so this is a great opportunity to work with the club to help build the profile of 12BET in-market amongst its loyal fan base,” he added.
Vinai Venkatesham, chief commercial officer of Arsenal, added: “We have a large and engaged fan base in Asia and we look forward to working with 12BET to further engage with Arsenal supporters in the region.”
The deal follows 12BET’s agreement with Premier League champions Leicester City earlier this summer to become the club’s official betting partner.
