12BET nets badminton World Championships partnership
Deal with the Badminton World Federation will see the operator become the official partner of next month's event
Isle of Man-licensed 12BET has agreed a deal with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) that will see the operator become the official partner of the BWF World Championships 2017.
The partnership with the badminton’s international governing body will see 12BET obtain product category exclusivity and branding within the arena’s field of play at the event in Glasgow next month.
12BET Spokesman Rory Anderson said: “We are delighted to add the BWF World Championships to our growing sports sponsorship portfolio.
“It is a huge event that will be broadcast in several of our key target markets. All the top players in the world will be taking part. We wish them the best of luck in what promises to be an enthralling event.”
The deal was brokered by Infront Sports & Media, a Wanda Sports company, and comes two years after 12BET sponsored the 2015 All England Open Badminton Championships.
Thomas Lund, secretary general of BWF, added: “We are pleased to add 12BET as a corporate partner for the TOTAL BWF World Championships in Glasgow.
“This tournament is the highlight of the 2017 season, bringing together badminton’s most accomplished players. It will be watched keenly by millions globally and will offer significant worldwide exposure for the 12BET brand.”
